PARIS HILTON AND HER GANG!

2006-12-29 11:06:35 · answer #1 · answered by tcbtoday123 5 · 1 0

Several parties claim that status, The Green Party, The Libertarian Party and the American Independent Party. The Green Party certainly made serious gains in the last elections however the largest party with the most elected officials is the Libertarian Party, which continues to make gains at a rapid clip. Overall, it looks like, despite the last election, the Libertarians are still the fastest growing political third party. Just remember, ANYONE can claim fastest status, depending on how you add up the numbers. There could be a serious BS factor too. Look at the number of total elected officials and the percent of increase in the last three election cycles for a truer picture.

There can be no third party in a nation that only sees black and white on every issue. In 2008 we are going to be faced with a total no win choice because the "issue de jour" of that moment will once again divide the nation. The ideals of freedom of choice, personal privacy, honesty, compassion & charity will fall to the wayside while "liberals" & "conservatives" running for office trade insults. Politicians do this because the apethetic, ignorant voters (who only start pondering "politics" in October every other year) think the leaders of the most powerful nation the world has ever seen should be decided using the same standards that the actors on "Survivor" use to choose their winners. Lincoln embraced the Republican party because the one party system had become corrupt. We now have 2 parties( worth mentioning ) and they are both corrupt. If we get a third significant party, history shows that will also become corrupt. It has nothing to do with the party and everything to do with corruptness. Until we address corruptness & selfish personal gain, our once great nation will continue to degrade until we suffer the fate of Rome. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-275577066688213413&sourceid=docidfeed&hl=en
