Canada...as you can tell by the first answer given to you .People are friendlier more open minded and you find less obnoxious arrogant people ! and our cities are claeaner :)
we're more peaceful we don't think or feel the need that we are superior and need to control all world issues
our cost of living may be thought as high to some but our minimum wage at the same time is also high than Americans so that balances out . I had a friend come from New York and was amazed at how many large and luxury homes are in Canada as compared to the states .So unlike what some Americans think we don't live in Igloos .And people who don't have money for health care are not turned away at hospitals .

Re: Canada and USA - what are the differences?

Hi JBright. Although i've travelled to Canada on quite a few occassions, I am not an expert on their cultural differences between my own. One thing I will say is that every place i've been in Canada has been extremely clean--not a lot of litter or trash lying about. Perhaps on the whole the people there respect the outdoors much better than a lot of the people here. I would have no problem living in Canada from what i've seen when visiting there ;) Friendly people, clean, and beautiful countryside with lots to do!

I've been all over both countries. I am Canadian... so there's my bias! I prefer Canada, for the political climate and our freedoms. Regarding military presence overseas... we are almost as bad... maybe worse. We seem to be following blindly into the fray. Our military is managing to provide some help to the people in Afghanistan, at least.

Scary times, eh?

Canada.

Because I know that there are no Chinese, Russian, North Korean, and Iranian nuclear missiles pointed at Canada.

Because I know that terrorists would not attack Canada.

And one correction for you: The U.S. is not trying to be the world police. It's trying to be the world bully...

America of course
People there are more open and I have never met an American I don't like here. Canada's health care is good, but in general they are too conservative and I hate that!
I never see any Canadian that is not uptight, Americans talk to everybody, argue and apologize openly - nothing to hide. Real sexy!
