here in Cananda I need a recommendation from a doctor to see one

if you really want to see one see if you can get the recommendation you need if not sorry your just outta luck unless you come here

Not sure what Canada is like, but it is up to your insurance were you could go. Give them a call for more info on that. But to make you feel better your family doctor and a OB doctor get the same training so no worries if you have to stay with your family doctor!

Depends which province you are in, though to the best of my knowledge anyone can see an OB/GYN without a referral. I live in Ontario and I can see one. You can also go to any walk in clinic and they would refer you because they don't do prenatal care.

Why would healthcare want to pay for you to see a specialist you don't need?

Seeing a doctor who specializes in deliveries is just as good as on OB if you are not high risk there really is no need to see one.

Wow ... that sucks. Here in California you can just go. Good luck to you. But at least you aren't a "high risk" so don't stress over it too much.
