Will you get citation for having one of the headlamp not working ?

Yes, you can. It is a legal requirement that a vehicle have 2 working headlights visible up to a certain distance in clear weather conditions. Usually however, unless you are doing something really stupid, dangerous, or illegal; an officer will just give you a warning. It is not difficult to change it out, and doesn't really cost that much.

Normally you would receive just a warning , but there are some pigs that love to give tickets. depending on the year of the car - the newer ones just have a bulb you replace , even so a headlignt is not that expensive. why give a cop a reason to pull you over, plus it makes it rather difficult to see in the dark!

If a cop is there at the right place and right time, yes. I've been pulled over before for this- but I only got a warning.

I was gonna say that you had a bad fuse somewhere but then prolly both headlights would be out. you might also check to see that you are using that right replacement bulb. If not that i would say that you're not getting juice to that light and there must be a shortage somewhere.

You can be ticketed for that, but most of the time they'll just give you a warning.

depends on the cop. but the new headlamp is cheaper.

Naw,you wont get a ticket for the working one,you will for the one that doesnt work though.
