ok,i think u set the IP number, netmask, default router and dns servers to automatic mode.as in ps2 u will get "set IP address auto or manual"choose manual, then continue,u will get "enter IP ADDRESS,NETMASK,DEFAULT ROUTER" put these number like the numbers used in ur pc{left clike on ur LAN connection icon beside the clock then press support then click details,u will get IP address(=IP number in ps2 connection),subnet mask(=net mask in ps2 connection)and default gateway(=defult router in ps2)} enter these numbers and continue,u will get DNS server to enter(2 numbers) u will find them in the same window on pc(with IP,SUBNET MASK and DEFAULT GATEWAY)if u find one DNS server number on pc dont worry,it will be ur internet connection settings.

this what i did on my ps2 and it is connected to internet.and i think the ps3 settings name will be the same as ps2 or at least will be in the same order.

i hope it will connect now.

connec the ps3 alone, both pc and ps3 will not work together one of them will work.almost pc will work if it is connected 1st.

I TRIED TO REPLY UR MESSAGE BUT "YAHOO ANSWERS" SAID THAT MY MESSAGE CANT BE DELIVERD BECAUSE UR E-MAIL IS NOT CONFERMED!!!

Hello! I do not own a Playstation 3 but I can solve your problem. the first thing that you want to do is check that all the cables are connected to where they are supposed to be. If that doesn't work contact Customer Support via internet or phone and they can solve your issue.

ok sure : here is an hint! according towards "PlayStation2or3
they usually need Windows xp 95-98 monitors for access with
internet programs. Check game audio ports first to see which
game controll have usb 2.0 jack adapter located in front of computer tower see those put joy stick plug into one then
