Saddam said this:
In a farewell letter posted on the Internet Wednesday, Saddam urged Iraqis to embrace "brotherly coexistence" and not to hate the U.S.-led troops.

"I call on you not to hate because hate does not leave space for a person to be fair and it makes you blind and closes all doors of thinking," said the letter."

I just find it odd that a guy who put people in mass graves and was one of the most brutual dictators in the 21st century is now saying, "support america and love each other"

Seems a little odd doesn't it? If he really loved the iraqis,he would have created a republic long ago.

He's not saying love America... he's saying for the Sunnis and Shiites to get along because then they can fight the US troops and other coalition forces better.
Because then if they do force the coalition troops out... someone else can come forward and lead Iraq like Saddham did.
