I certainly won't cry at night because of him getting hanged. He lived by the sword and he will die by the sword. As far as I am concerned, it is fair. On the other count, roughly 3,000 people get killed in Iraq every month, and Saddam's life is not any more precious then the lives of those people. He's just another one who will die. Of course, because of him being a former leader of that country his execution may have some repercussions that are actually quite difficult to predict in advance. Still, as far as feelings go (that's what your question was about), such repercussions are beside the point.

I don't believe in the death penalty. However, since there is one and it IS being used then Saddam would be in my top 5 of "most deserving" candidates...if not the top pick!

It makes me a little uncomfortable honestly. It all seems like a big political show. He should have been sent to the hague and tried for war crimes there, not in Iraq.

I'm against the death penalty in general, but if anyone truly deserves it, he does.

when he was big and bad in his uniform, surrounded with his henchmen, he was killing numbers of his own country men, because they dared to dissagree with his ways of doing thimgs.
Now that he has been knocked a peg or two and powerless, it time he payed for what he did and over saw.

He has put enough people to death, I think it seems fitting. They execute like mo-fo's over there, part of the culture.

I think it will set off another round of violence, not that much excuse is needed. Some will also laud him as a "martyr".
