My lovely American girl is back home in the USA for new years.We've phoned &emailed but it's not enough for us! Yeah sad i know! She's using MSN - the American version i assume & i've just got Windows live messenger ( which used to be MSN messenger).Are these 2 compatible for us 2 talk 2 together or will 1 of us have to switch over?
Somebody out there please help! It's gonna be bad enough without her let alone not even being able to chat to her! Thanks - from the loneliest guy in Britain tonight.Jackie.

Lou, she's using MSN.Is it any different to Yahoo messenger? I'm useless at who's who.

If she has the newest Yahoo messenger then yes they are...It doesn't matter if she's using msn,if you can add her address to your yahoo messenger then you'll be able to talk to her.happy chatting! :o)

Windows Live Messenger is just the next version of MSN messenger. They are both compatible - now even yahoo can talk to MSN/Live messenger.
Don't panic you'll still be able to keep in touch you might have a few issues with nudges and a few other bits but you can talk to each other and send webcam.
