the way i understand it..the longer they wait the more chance of a bigger riot or bombings than if they do it now. plus they have a Holiday of sorts over there that starts at 6am their time and it goes until Tuesday so they want to do it now and be done with it.....the quicker the better in the long run for all .....

He has had plenty of time before, during (before capture) and during the long trial to tell whatever secrets he wanted to tell. During court he had a number of well covered outburst so it is not like he has been totally gagged.

I think they are in a rush to execution simply to try to refocus attention away from the insurgency and remind the anti-Saddam majority that the US did accomplish this much.

Its more likely he would have dirt on his buds in the EU, but we know about that.
