ok well you have to see your doctor, or go to a pharmacy and see if they can give you cream or tablets for it. it will not go away on its own, and will only get worse. i knwo it can be embarrasing speaking to someone about this but you really should get it checked out, all your doctor would do is ask you to hand in a urine sample and tell him/her what you are experiencing, then they can diagnose you and give you a simple cream or tablet to take away theinfection.

Sounds like a yeast infection. Over the counter vagisil cream will help but you should really see your doctor. Some infections can have serious long term health effects. And please do not be embarrassed. Yeast infections can be caused by many different things. Good Luck.

1st stop scratching. it only makes you more inflamed. (its necessary you can treat minor vaginal irritation with lubrication. hydrocortisone cream. ice packs. sditz bathes. tea tree oil. h3o3, or golden seal.)
2nd schedule an appointment w/ a LPN, ob/gyn or whoever you go to for care.
3rd when you go to the dr. make sure you accurately describe you symptoms & ask that you get tested for any sexually transmitted infections/diseases along with your wet prep.
4th in the future don't wake longer than seven days to get some treatment what seems to be any yeast, bv, chalymdia, or otherwise bothersome vaginal issues. the longer you wait the worst the problem and consequences.
5th check with all of your sexual partners from the past three months to see if any are having similiar issues or received treatment for stds.
6th try to include vagina friendly foods in your diet. the more yogurt you eat the better. drink 100% cranberry juice not juice cocktail.

GO TO THE DOCTOR
It's prob something really simple which will only take a few days to heal once treated. If it is a yeast infection you can get some anti fungal vaginal cream from the pharmacy. Increase your pro-biotic which is found in natural yogurts, and supplements
Left untreated it could turn into PID, which is really painful (been there done that) and if PID is untreated it can lead to bigger problems like infertility and scarring. http://www.niaid.nih.gov/factsheets/stdpid.htm

I will agee with everyone else for you to see yuor gyno, but I had that same problem and after my routine pap. the doctor said I might have an infection. After the results came back she said that I had a bacterial infection. She put me on meds for a week and it cleared right up. If you are married or sexually active you should not have sex without a condom until it clears up though.

yeast infections will sometimes just keep getting worse until you get something to treat it... and you get the something to treat it from a doctor. So answer to the question go see a doctor. It's important for your health. Take care, and best wishes.

My tried-and-true remedy for vaginal itching and yeast infections:
vinegar/water bath.
Use about 1/2 cup vinegar to 1 Gal warm water.
Find a container you can sit in, like a dish pan.
Place the pan into the shower stall or bathtub and sit in it for about 10 minutes.
Try to get some of that water inside you.
If you can't fit into a dish pan, you'll have to use a larger container and more water/vinegar. Just alter the recipe like you would any other.

It may be a yeast infection. go to the doctor to make sure it isn't something worse. The scratching is what might be making it red a lot. try not to scratch it to much. i know its hard though

Go see your main doctor or an OBGYN. Do not take anything over the counter, for it could increase the infection.
