No, dirty dancing's been going on before the movie was even made. My grandmother said she used to do a lil' somethin' somethin' back in the day!! LOL

Well the dancing aspect of the movie was based on the up and coming dance style which is dirty dancing... If you notice in the movie that type of dancing wasn't allowed, and it was only done at the after hour parties that was held. I would say "Dirty Dancing" gave a little more insight into the dancing genre.... Therefore I don't think it changed the way we dance, but it gave a better insight into a type of dancing that was already discovered...

It is just all of us dance crazed people who thought it changed the way we can move.
Have you seen that new movie with Melanie Griffith's husband. Do some of those moves in a G rated Dance Hall if you dare.
