Imagine what would happen if all the people that are unhappy with the two major parties all voted for somebody else? Do you think they politicians would get the idea? How about if all of them wrotte to their representatives demanding their resignations? Could be fun.

The value and importance of voting cannot be overstated. To be able to choose our leaders is the greatest expression of living in a free society. I live in Australia where voting is compulsory. Ours is one of the strongest, most harmonious, multi-racial democracies on earth. I didn't vote for our present leader, but I accept that I was in the minority. Next time I'll be in the majority and the supporters of our present government will accept the result peacefully and just get on with living in the lucky country.

I think it is because nowadays people's opinions or votes don't really matter like it was when the government began. People's opinions used to make decisions but now the houses or everybody else over the government are making the decisions. People don't really make the decisions or aren't really into it. I don't participate in voting, though because this isn't really my world and the world doesn't pertain to me.
