Fish fins will heal with time you may want to add "StressCoat" to the tank to help prevent infcetion.

The tail will grow back. I hope the lid on the Betta's jar allows some air exchange, because Bettas are whole air breathers, and will perish in a sealed container.

I used to have a betta that had his tail bit off too. Not all, but a piece.
It just looks bit off for awhile, and I think it grows back together in time.

Smaller tail and no more. Unless the cat got into the Betta's flesh.
