I think if people have a tendency to procrastinate the only way to beat that tendency is to decide to be kind of compulsive about getting things done as soon as possible at all times.
If you get a bill in the mail pay it as soon as you open it. If you have a sandwich plate you've just finished using wash it immediately. Don't leave it in the sink. If you get a voicemail on your phone call the people back immediately.
Break down more complex tasks/projects into simple ones and do one simple part of the project immediately. As soon as you're done do another simple part.
Again, decide to be compulsive "in the other direction" because there is no reasonable "later" for procrastinators.
A procrastinator who vows to become compulsive about getting things done the minute it becomes clear they need to be done can eventually operate in a way that is less compulsive and more natural/habit.

Firstly, organize your room. No one would like to work in a messy room.Secondly, create an efficient and achievable schedual. Not all of it has to be strictly followed, just the very important things (like studying for a major exam). Also, the first thing you would want to do in the morning is exersice. It would increase you're stamina, and set you ready, active and motivated for the rest of the day. Lastly, at the end of the day try to include something fun, like calling a friend, reading a book or just watching a good movie or tv show. At first it would be a bit hard to get into the rhythm of your'e schedual, but after a few days or so, you'll be following it with no problem.

The best way to avoid procrastination is to stop doing stuff. If you don't do anything you can't procrastinate

Make up a list each day of the important things that need to be done. Don't make the list too big or it will be unrealistic and you surely won't get it done. Just go down the list and get them done. You will feel great afterwards.

Try the book, "Eat That Frog" by Tony Robbins. His main hint is to figure out the worst thing you have to do that day, and do it first. Then everything else isn't so bad.

Try doing whatever the project is that you're wanting to do in manageable bite sized segments so that you don't get overwhelmned by the total size of your undertaking.
