Generally, the only difference between an executive MBA and a traditional MBA is the manner in which the courses are set up by the school. In traditional MBA programs, courses are usually taught during the day and each student is responsible for determining what he/she needs to take and when in order to graduate as planned, when planned. In an executive program, many, if not all, of the courses are scheduled for nights and weekends to accommodate working professionals, and are set up as "cohorts," wherein the same group of students takes the same classes in the same order, as designated by the university, from beginning to end.
There is no difference in terms of which looks better on a resume or is considered "better" for the job market. An MBA from the University of Ohio is the same, whether it was earned on a traditonal schedule basis or an executive basis, and either one from a prestigious university will always look better than either one from a diploma mill. I suppose the executive program would let you work while you attend classes, and that may be attractive for some employers, but it makes no difference in the degree you walk away with at the end of the day.
Hope this helps.
