I was just curious as it was just announced that he may be executed as soon as 10:00 est tonight. I am truly concerned because a religious time in their area begins Saturday.

I would love to see him dead. I just don't want to make him a martyr to HIS people.

I have seen other questions and answers, quite a few tend to have the "in another country attitude." Hmmmm...what about Sept 11 and MANY other attacks around the world before and since then. It is not only "their" problem in other countries it is also ours.

I will bet within 24 hrs of his announced execution Yahoo Answers is going to be a torrent of questions and answers as to what should have/could have/would have. I am hopeful nothing happens but I do worry about our troups. And hurray to the one answerer who mentions the comic strip...if that set off a problem just think of the could possibly do. It was just a question to get people to realize that this problem IS in our back yard now or our troups would not be over there and alot of other places.

I am very worried...for our troops, for the people who live in the country, for worldwide reaction and rioting.

My son's girlfriend is over there right now...

The Baathist (spelling is wrong) has talk about revenge...

Yes, I am very worried...

Oh I don't doubt that. These are the same people that will burn up their countries and get themselves killed over cartoons.

More reason that the world needs less people like Sadam in control to manipulate the masses.

Edited to add to your third comment~ No I don't think anything will happen here tonight.

He was found guilty of genocide of 160 villagers following an assaination attempt. The attempts to link him to other terrorist activities is not the reason he's being hung.

One other thing about matyrs to bear in mind.

They'r all dead.
