Everybody has a different amount of water. If you are losing fluid - even if it is just a trickle - it is very likely that your waters have broken and you should contact your hospital now. If you go to the hospital, the worst thing that can happen is that they can send you home.
Please ignore anyone who says there is no rush - every pregnancy, labour and delivery are different. My niece had her first baby in the car on the way to the hospital - which was only 15 mins away - and she left home as soon as her waters broke !

You should call your ob/gyn; any time you suspect that you are possibly loosing water you should go get checked. My water broke and it was nothing like what I thought it was and I was really embarrased thinking that I would drive an hour down to the hospital and find out it was an issue with incontinence. It was literally just a couple short trickles after I had used the restroom. And thank god I went because it was actually amniotic fluid. But the best motto is better safe than sorry. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

The mucus plug you lost was a show, and yes your waters have broke, it doesnt always come in a huge gush, it also comes out in drips, you are in the first stage of labour, dont panic though, wait untill you start getting contractions and they are coming in frequent times like every 15 - 20 mins then get to the hospital, but if you are living a good bit away from the hospital go now! your baby should be born in the next 24 hours, \good luck and congratulations your gonna be a mum tomorrow!
p.s. get the epidural its great!

It could definitely be your water leaking. Not everyone has a huge GUSH -- maybe your fluid is just trickling out. And, if you have no contractions, you may need to be induced with pitocin to bring on your labor. You baby cannot survive more than 24 hours without amniotic fluid, so don't wait, see your DR.

yes you should go straight to hospital your waters do not just gush out many just trickle. The point is if the waters are trickling your cervix has started to dilate and this means you are at risk of infection if you do not go and get it looked at.
By the time you get this you may have a baby on your lap good luck and congratulations.

well I think you´ll find that your water´s have or are starting to break, but there´s no rush , first baby´s are not in such a rush to get out, if you feel better at home then stay as long as you can, but if you do go onto hospital to speed up the birth walk around as much as you can, I had 19 hrs in labour first time around, but because I walk & walk , only 4 hrs with the 2nd ,Good luck with your new baby & Happy New Year

it could definitely be your water. Sometimes when your water breaks it can leak slowly...it doesnt have to be a sudden gush. Go to your doctor and they can test it to see if the fluid actually is amniotic fluid or not. I had to have that done when i was pregnant with my first. call your doctor! Good Luck!

you could have a leak...I had a high leak so you should go to the hospital or atleast call your doctor...if the leak is low and bacteria can grow and that isnt good for the baby so the doctor might have to enduce you..if the leak is higher its not as big of a deal they might just watch you until it breaks or break your water for you...Once your water actual breaks you'll know its a good amount of fulid that comes out and it keeps leaking until you deliver...but your doctor can test you to see if your high or low
