I don't necessarily think its so much a matter of getting too far advanced as it is increasing the potential for misuse and/or over-dependence, which is kind of - but not quite - the same thing.
For some reason that I can't explain or figure out, though, I'm not worried (and that has nothing to do with my not living more than a few more decades). I guess there's a part of me that just kind of has faith in humans for the most part, and it seems to me, too, that with the increasingly advanced development of technology seems as well to be coming an increased enlightenment when it comes to human intelligence, understanding, and conscience.

You can't stop progress. It is going to happen no matter what you do short of executing the top people in all countries and destroying all the information. Then you'll have a world of brainless wonders for a few generations and the human race may well revert to the stone age. Great plan.
Instead, why don't we put energy into learning and planning for the things that are coming? It makes a lot more sense. Of course, if the global warming panic mongers were right the real scientists would be spouting nonsense because the world would be dead by then.

Technology should always advance, and it will. The problems are where new technology developes. Can medical science become "too advanced?" How could that happen? If anyone has a problem with that they don't understand what advanced technology really is. It's knowledge people, can't have too much of that. We are FAR from aproaching being seen as even advanced in my eyes.

you can never tell what will happen with the future, but i doubt robots will take over the world. alot of things have been predicted that have been false. Do you know how many times the apocalypse was supposed to occur, or how many times we were supposed to meet the little green men on mars? also counter in that we may go through a little dark age, this has happened alot in the past too. and progress is progress, the times may change, but people will always remain pretty consistent. if any problems arise, it wont be because of robots, its because of selfishness and greed. and i think we should give scientists enough credit to at least say they would never make a robot smart enough to overthrow human society, they are made to do the things that we don't want to do. robots are becoming more self aware and have primitive brains now, but i think we will always have power over them.

surely, in certainty all of those technologies you describe we already have, it is in basic terms a count of putting them at the same time. I propose, we've extremely-skinny laptops. we've convertible pills that have in basic terms a unmarried small hinge retaining them at the same time. we've touch displays. we've touch pads - you additionally could make a computing device-sized pad and label it like a keyboard and get what you describe. we've SSDs that can enable a working laptop or laptop as nicely in ten seconds flat if it is sweet configured. the only subject i would be sure retaining this back might desire to be ingredients technological expertise. the subject might must be very gentle and intensely solid, yet we are advancing especially quickly in that field. So good day, who knows. they might ought to artwork on the ergonomics of this a sprint, yet i might desire to be sure some thing like this being available.

Personally speaking, I want technology to stop right now. Maybe find better ways for renewable energy, a bit faster computers (but I don't really need ultra fast) and cures for diseases. Then I would stop. Oh well...

I think that the progeress of technology is going to lead us to disaster. Look at what happened with Chernobyl and Heroshima. Humans just have big eyes, but no stomach to handle this mess.

I think technology already is too advanced.
I would have stopped at antibiotics, electricity and indoor plumbing with hot water.
Although I also enjoy my TV, my computer and my latte machine.
