Is sex with your female "Friend" innevitable?

Over the years, I have made many female friends. Maybe its a subconscious thing...........but, after a few months or years we wind up having sex........even though neither of us have expressed any open feelings for each other..............Does this always happen? We still remain close..........but I guess it just something we have to get over.

sounds pretty normal to me
