Your septic service co. should know. Grey water is water from the sinks and bathtub,it is diverted to a seperate tank and flitered by a sand covered by a screen. thescreen traps large particles and the sand filters out what the screen can't. The water is stored in the tank until needed to water the garden or lawn. You can use a pump to circulate water to keep it from getting stagnant. Some people use a pond for the grey water storage. Just don't use water from a sick room in your grey water.
A grease trap like those used in resturants can be added to the line going the septic tank or the grey water line to seperate it.
Although the grease can go to the septic tank and removed when the tank is serviced .
