I will answer your question, but you must give the 10 points to the person who answered before. There is an implied sexual relationship between the vampire and the victim. In the 1930's, after "Dracula," Bela Lugosi was making a film in which the script called on him to bite a man on the neck. Lugosi vehemently refused. He knew what vampirism was all about.

NO you're not weird I LOVE vampire stories especially the romance ones. I have no idea what exactly it is that causes me to be so obsessed but i don't think i could live without them. It may not be too common though because even the people in my family give me weird looks when they ask what I'm reading and I start on some rant about a girl who falls in love with a vampire.

I think I may be one among few who find them extremely sexy... (*sigh*) if only they were real...

not with all vampire stories. sometimes they deal with forbidden love: vampire falling in love with a victim. That is when things get interesting.

There is something sexy about them! As mentioned beforehand, there is that predator/prey connection that some find alluring. Also, blood is a rich, vibrant, and red substance that is linked to love. Example: Your cheeks flush when you are kissed, which is indeed blood flowing to your face.
