ok, if you downloaded professional it was most likely a virus or bug. You can only buy a valid copy of an operating system. If they downloaded it illegally or got it from somewhere other than microsoft, then it is most likely a virus.

If formatting the disk does not artwork there's a application noted as FDISK which will kill all of your energetic walls (with a bunch of work) it truly is to not be used gently Get as a lot information on FDISK earlier you employ it. XP afterwards might want to load w/o any issues. this is going to format the disk and set up all by itself with some person intervention. you're extra effective off getting yet another HD, replacing your present HD to a slave, eliminating it, installation a sparkling HD and dad in XP then re-set up your previous HD. in this way you'll have both OSs on your computer. you should keep telling it which OS besides from yet till you get each of the information off the unique HD....

I remember in chemistry classes, we used to wipe clean the "labtops" (laboratory worktops in full) at the end of the class.
One of the lads in my class "downloaded" a flask of acetone all over a labtop and set it alight. That was quite an impressive sight, I tell you!

Open display from control panel, go to the settings tab and increase the resolution.
If that does not fix the problem you will need to download graphics drivers for the laptop, you will be able to get them from the manufacturer's website.

Video resolution may be set too high. right click on the desktop and click properties, settings. Move the slider down a little.Maybe start with 600*800 and work your way up til you find your preference.

Yes. Don't use 2000. It has terrible hardware support and there are probably no drivers for most of the hardware in the laptop written for it.
