Wow, that's amazing, Geaorgia Tech scored 222 points and moreover stopped Cumberland at 0. I'm assuming 222 will be the highest indivual team score as well.

What about NFL, anyone???

I read about that Cumberland game when I was a kid. I'd love to see that on video. And yes that was certainly the highest team score also. By the way the Georgia Tech head coach? John Heisman.

Highest NFL team's score was 73-0 by Chicago over Washington in 1940. Interestingly, that was a championship game and the loser Washington was favored!

I just read about the Georgia Tech Game....
"On October 7, 1916, Georgia Tech defeated Cumberland University, 222-0, in the most lopsided game in college football history. The trouncing was inspired in part by Cumberland's 22-0 whipping of the Tech baseball team the previous spring. Allegations were made suggesting that Cumberland had used professional players in the game, and Tech football coach Heisman (who also coached the baseball team) vowed revenge. Georgia Tech scored thirty-two touchdowns, rushed the ball for 978 yards, and did not attempt a pass in the blockbuster win.

In the Georgia Tech-Cumberland game the Yellow Jackets scored all of those points without the benefit of making a first down. This means that Tech scored every time it touched the ball on offense.
