If your gay, bi, trans, whatever.....isn't this a place for you to ask questions and not have the bible or any biblical reference thrown in your face?

Yeah this is the place to ask questions and not have anything thrown in our faces. The problem is that those who come over and evangelize are doing so because their religion tells them to. They're supposed to share the word of God with everyone, particularly with those that their religion says are sinners. So in their mind they're doing nothing wrong. They're practially ordered to care about other people's business by their religion.

It drives me crazy because Y!A was never meant for evangelizing. It was meant as a place for questions to get answers. Not for questions to get off-topic sermons. (sigh)

Because they think their Superman or Wonder women and its their job to "save" everyone.

Every christian I've ran into has much longer of a rap sheet of "sins" then the ones in which they are judging. And no matter where you go the bible shouldn't be thrown in your face, if they want to believe a fictional story book, and they actually believe some guy is sitting in a huge chair above the clouds (which considering gravity "his" a** would plummeting to the earth) then that's their belief and not everyone wants to hear it.

They should be over in the religion section gossiping about all the sinners like they usually do and fantasizing over stories instead of coming over here to LGBT where I guess they realize we live a more non fictional life and we have more fun!

Because religious people think they are the only ones right and think inside a box that someone else created for them so anything outside that box is wrong. Dont feel bad just ignore unwanted comments. A lot of the time religious people dont know what to answer if you ask them something that they were not taught.

Yeah but some laffy taffy people are young and ignorant and don't understand. They have been breeded into a family of hate....whether daddy is dead or not. Religious people know the Bible is the only weapon they have to combat real love because they don't understand why or how gay love is so strong because they don't have to work on communication everyday.

Because it says so in the Bible. I realize it says many contradictory things in the Bible and many more that for whatever reason don't seam to apply any more. But that is the beauty of the Bible - somewhere in the Bible it will say that what you are doing is wrong.

religion is the route of all evil. look at the attacks on the world trade center.. religiously motivated.

people are too ashamed to look in the mirror and judge themselves, so they dismiss their own imperfections as being acceptable, yet feel they are doing some sort of moral duty to God by pointing out faults of others..

the bible does say that humans are not to judge others.. God is to be the only one who judges.. so in the end, anyone who passes jugement on others isn't really following the religion that they say they preach.. so in the end, they aren't actually religious. they are just confused hypocrits.. and in most cases, they are insecure and idioitic..

You're absolutely right, but when man made the Christian religion he threw in a little rule saying that it's their duty to "save" people. Apparently every person who doesn't share the same exact view as them are doomed to Hell... whatever. Don't let the nay sayers get you down, be who you are and be damned proud of it!

The answer to this question can be summed up in 2 words: "forcible indoctrination". Actually that can be reduced further to just 1 word: "brainwashing".

No just any religion

Just the Judeo-Christian ones

They have confused 'Spreading the Word of God' with FORCIBLY making people hear it whether anyone likes it or not.
