I have a few ideas for a few different companies. I know that they probably won't think that they are good, but just incase i was hoping to send the ideas to them. That is, in the best possible way so they can be considered. Two examples that I have in mind are Apple Computer inc and Yahoo inc... any ideas of how i can put forth my ideas to these companies? Thanx!! :)

Don't send you idea for free. Patent it. Then, when you send it they will take it seriously and pay for it also. You can google to find ways to patent ideas.

Step 1. Poor mans patent, send yourself a diagram illustration and synopsis of the Idea and use registered mail. When you receive it don't open it up...it will be opened by a judge if needed.

Step 2. go to www.uspto.com get the patent information and patent applied for first...then,

step 3. get a Patent Attorney to advise you and have them make a cover letter saying that they represent you. Then send companies a copy of that letter and a brief description that does not tell exactly what your idea is...ask them to respond to you at their convenience to make a proposal meeting. Most companies have a department for this kind of thing otherwise, they may not accept outside soliciting.

step 4. Prepare for your proposal get facts and figures detailed information why they should like your product over others, be convincing and sell to their needs. A Busines plan would help.

Good Luck, Best Wishes.

They usually have a Research and Development department for new ideas and products.

Many companies return unsolicited "new ideas" as they don't want a law suit in case they already have a similar "idea/product" in the works.

If you become an employee of a company you can give your idea to your employer.

just need an envelope and a 39 cent stamp. let them have your idea and wait until they call you. yes -- do give them a phone number in your letter or white paper or whatever. just wait and eventually they will send you some money. or try putting another copy under your pillow each night. maybe there is something like a tooth fairy that rewards people with ideas. lol

Invent.com or so is the name of that company. They only want realizable ideas though. I came up with something in the past but wasn't prepared enough.
