Yes they are different, but also the same.
Since both began with the same immigrants, who came from similar back grounds & stole lands from indigenous peoples, but brought similar customs, traditions, & religions, they started off the same. Changes came when the USA broke away from the Monarchy system & Canada remained part of the Common Wealth of England. Both countries encouraged new immigration, but the ratio of immigrants from different countries are different for both countries.
Then take into account the population explosion of the USA versus Canada & the trend toward personal space & how humans react within less space triggered the USA to be more aggressive & goal oriented. Where as Canada's population didn't expand into cities until more recent in this & the last century, & it's larger population resides close to the USA/Canada border due to climate & terran, so Canadians had more personal space, didn't change their communication skills toward the negative as there was no need. However, Canadians are influenced by USA culture & within 10 years of some negative American Cultural phenomenon, Canada has shown similarities of the same phenomenon.
So to answer your question... there are some differences, but you have as many bad apples in Canada when the ratio is averaged out compared to USA population, But Canadians still tend to be more friendlier & open minded, & have some cultural differences as their politics is a slightly different type of democracy with an added key... they legally recognize two official languages which always comes into play in their daily lives, where as the USA seems to have two different majority languages, but are a odds as to recognize one of them or the people.
Either way... visit Canada & see for your self, but remember you must have a special passport to re-enter the USA or you'll become a Canadian citizen whether you choose it or not. =)

fee of living: bigger in Canada, besides the undeniable fact that, wages are bigger too. variety of balances it out. better of Canada: in simple terms my opinion yet i think of British Columbia is the better of Canada. It has each thing that California and Colorado have. Mountains, ocean, seashores, outdoors activities. Ski interior the morning. golfing interior the afternoon etc. anybody is possibly greater comfortable in Canada. Our financial gadget got here in the time of the international extensive recession somewhat greater effective than the human beings. rules: (intentionally left this for final) we don't have the loss of life penalty. we've lifelike gun administration rules (truly replaced at the instant yet nevertheless require each guy or woman who owns a gun to be vetted and authorized by utilising police and approved). Our government isn't controlled and run by utilising non secular zealots (hypocrites). we don't settle for or enable prejudice against any specific group. Gays could marry in Canada simply by fact we've faith it truly is the suited suited element to do. I in simple terms think of Canada is a greater effective, greater livable united states.

Pfft. No. You'd have nice health care.

I do have to agree with some of the other answers. I'm half Canadian half American. My Canadian family is much more laid back and relaxed. Americans are very stressed...always living for tomorrow instead of enjoying today.

As a Canadian, I find much of our culture to be more in tune with British culture than American culture.
