There's a silly one here in Detroit, but a lot of people take it seriously...
Line your pockets with a LOT of cash before the ball drops and you'll be financially prosperous in the next year....even if you have to just borrow money from 11:59 to 12:01 and give it back.

Okay here goes, eat twelve grapes at 12:00 midnight each represent each month and good luck. Second, wear red underwear for protection. If you want to travel thru out the year grab a suitcase put clothes inside and run out of your front door right at twelve. You will be traveling alot! Anyhow put incense in your home make shure to light up 3 at a time to cleanse and prepare for new year. Wear white clothing to let the good vibes enter your body and soul.
What ever you choose it's up to you, have a safe New Years~

My Great Grandmother had to have Cabbage and Corned Beef on New Years. I don't know the reason behind it but I never followed the superstition. But then again that may be why she lived into her 90's.

If you wear new, red underwear that was given to you as a gift, you will have luck in the New Year. Also, you have to eat grapes and lentils for money.
