Tell him you're not happy with his new form of entertainment and that you hope this will not lead to trouble for him in the future. Friendly constructive advice is about all you can do. Hopefully he will listen.

You can never help a person who does not see that they have a problem.Friendship is priceless.Continue to talk to your friend.People don't care about themselves until they know how much you care about them.People do things to themselves 4 reasons that they know and only a true friend will find out about. If
he continues to smoke pot he will eventually get caught whether
by family, other friends, the job etc... anyway.Don't feel guilty if he
does.People make choices.Be there 4 the good ones and bad ones if you are a true friend stick with him through the thick and thin.Keep the lines of communication open.It may take weeks or months for your friend to realize the importance of what he is doing to his health and the legal aspects of his abuse. There are many who are affected by substance abuse in this country.Who get help in many ways to try and quit their abusive behaviour. Some agencies take you in anonomousy. Some go on to live very productive lives.Hang in there with you friend.Call around and get help 4 your friend.

Can you enlist the support of mutual friends? Sometimes a person of the opposite gender has more influence. Despite whatever people think about pot it has a very undesirable effect on the personality. If you are being sincere, hopefully he will appreciate you have his best interests at heart. You seem to be a good friend to him, good luck.

Marijuana is NOT a bad drug. However, if you feel that your friend is leading down a bad path for him, then tell him so...to his face. Don't nark on him.

If you don't like what he's doing and he chooses to do it anyway, then you have two options. Either get over it or discontinue your friendship with him.

Good luck.

You, as a citizen, have no obligation to report a crime. If you do not want to hang around people who do, that is your right, as is reporting them to the authorities is your right. However, if you wish to keep this person in your life, he is very likely to hold a grudge against you for a long time if you report him. I would advise that you tell him your problem, and tell him that as long as he is a user you cannot in good conscious keep company with him. Leave the door open for his return if he stops using.

Well good for you for not following. All you can do is express your concern to him. Don't betray a friendship by narking though.

Don't worry about it. It's really not a big deal. Just be a good friend to him and don't judge him. Trust me, you'll hurt him a lot more by judging him, because you'll make him feel alone.

I am afraid he won't listen to anyone. He just has to make his own mistakes, you know live and learn, but don't ditch him, he needs you whether he knows it or not. Just let it be known that you want nothing to do with him when he is high, but when he wants to be sober let him know you are there for him.

tell all your other friends that oyu all need to help him. if he wants to keep doing pot then stop hanging with him. ultimately it is his life and if he wants to keep screwing it up then you have to step back and let him. sometimes all you can do is watch them hit rock bottom before you can help them
