visit? We'll be traveling by ship to Nice/Villefranche, France, Florence/Pisa, Rome, Naples, Sicily, Italy, and we'll spend about a week in Barcelona, Spain. We'll have limited time in the first spots but we would love some suggestions. Thanks!

Congratulations on being engaged!

I'm from the UK and have visited Barcelona, which I thought was a fantastic place - the architecture is great, all the Gaudi buildings and the Sagrada Familia in particular. The Ramblas area has a great atmosphere in the evenings - bars, music, tapas, dancing.

I'm hoping to make a trip there with my husband before long and would recommend it to honeymooners - have a great time.

Obviously I feel compelled to point out there are some lovely places in the UK that it sounds like you'll be missing out on - the yorkshire moors, the lake district, the garden of England, cream teas... but you'll just have to make another visit to see all of that!

I agree with another poster - Prague is wonderful and romantic. I also really like some more unknown places in Switzerland like Basel and Luzern, also the Swiss Alps are beautiful, especially Engadin.
