You look them straight in the eye and say, well thank you very much, I work very hard for it, and keep on going. people get way too upset over a compliment and soon there will be no more compliments at all if it keeps up. it depends on your mood. Ignoring rude people can drive you nuts, but more times than not it is the best answer. My advise is, limit your contact with this idiot. If it is someone that you work with making you uncomfortable, goto H.R. Good luck!
