It was only up to a few years ago that one of the television channels available in Belgium (I think it might have been a Dutch station) was broadcasting old Skippy episodes.
That kangaroo rivaled Lassie (and her/his many incarnations, RinTinTin -- remember him? -- and the bottle-nosed dolphin Flipper).
