The main sport is AFL (Australian Football League). There's also A-League (thats our soccer/ football), NRL (Rugby League) and Rugby Union. Cricket's hugely popular but it wouldn't be classified as our main sport!!

Australian rules football and the rugby codes are ruled out because they are only played in some states.
That leaves cricket, netball or soccer as the national game. None are the top sport in any state (except Netball with females) but nationally they are more popular.
In terms of professional sport cricket wins but in terms of grass roots people playing the games soccer and netball win by a long shot.

Supporters of each individual sport will choose their own, but things are changing here and right now I think it's beginning to even out. Aussies love their sport and will pretty much enjoy anything on offer.
OMG..Micho where have you been hiding..lol. The problem here is there are too many sports on offer.
