also it takes about 30 + seconds for ie7 to run and get a web page
I have a b.y.o computer. P4 2.66mhz, 1.5gb ram, ATI 256mb vid card, soundblaster audigy 2 . win XP pro
please help

windows xp's remote access never worked and never will
make a google search and see any one else offer this service

Speak to your IT department, they will be able to advise on how your computer should be set up in order to access the LAN. I suspect this will be via a VPN (Virtual Private Network) and you will be issued with a username/password and possibly a key of some kind. You will also require a VPN client to be installed on your machine.

there are many ways to do this. do you have a LAN at work or just one computer?
