I can't remove the panel at the bottom to get to all the stuff underneath. It tilts upward, but not enough so that I can do anything without holding it up. This is an old Kenmore dishwasher and the wiring doesn't look like the pictures I am finding online. Help!

Try opening the dishwasher door and looking back behind the door in the crevise for small screws to the top of the panel on the botom. Also there should be some screws on the top also into the countertop. Be careful pulling it out once you find them, if you don't lift up on the dishwasher when removing you will tear up the floor.

If you're getting rid of the dishwasher because it's no longer of any use to you, I suggest you get a pair of pliers and try to bend the bottom panel out of your way. Stick something underneath to keep it held up and go ahead and cut it with shears on one side (metal) in order to get the panel out of your way. Once this is out of your way, you can easily access the wiring and hose from underneath and it'll all make sense to you then. I hope this helps. If you're not getting rid of the dishwasher, try drilling out the screw on one side only and then slightly bend the panel out of your way without ruining the other side. You can always secure the panel with a larger metal type screw.

usually there are a couple of screws holding this panel on. you might have to lay on the floor and look at it to find them.
