and on my PC I have 140 GB of free space, and 512 MB of RAM, and a not-so-good graphics card but i don't care about graphics, just as long as it won't mess my PC up. :-)

The use of 'ruin' is a bit strong and farfetched really.
It won't 'ruin' your computer to nothing but a mass of rubble.

The Sims 2 is one hell of a big game, and after it has been installed you may notice that the system runs slower than it did in the past. Also, the Sims 2 might not even be desirable to play after a while, because I assume that you will be faced with loading screens for the majority of the time and be forced to endure slow gameplay.
I'd advise against it until a better computer is available - you said it yourself; it "wasn't really designed for gaming."

I Hope this helps.

I have had Sims 2 for a while now. I used a desktop computer and not a laptop but I havent run into any problems. So far I have no viruses and is still running as good as the day I got it. Hope this helps.

finding the strategies, lol. mac and computer are in basic terms working systems, its the hardware that runs below the hood of a computer which grants you speedier overall performance. i ought to bypass with computer, as they are frequently custom equipped you may build a custom mac yet that includes a great type of annoying stuff . my vote is going for computer, the nice and comfortable AMD 6 center on a UD5 mobo in basic terms for starters

it would help if you listed the specs for your computer, if you have a small hard drive and less then 512 RAM then it makes so sense, it will slow the system down and take up too much room that simple.

It will be fine. As long as you have a half-decent video card (which most newer laptops do) and enough memory space and processing power (which, again, most newer laptops do), then you should be fine.

Maybe not.

StepMania didn't wreck my computer.

Nor did Text Twist.

And my computer isn't built for gaming (I think).
