Well i have worked all over africa and it is poor. Yes there are rich people but the rest are the poorest in the world. When i work in Angola the staff house we stay in which is like a mansion is in the neighbourhood of coregated iron houses with nothing covering the doors and the windows and they are not the poorest. The poorer ones sleep on the beach. They have absoultely no money at all, the only money they get is from stealing things and selling them and also stealing from other people.
The africans are very very poor, they have no social system so they get nothing. the government keep the money to themselves. The rich get rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

I live in the US and have been to Africa (I'm first generation american). What I've noticed about Africa is that the values create a different type or riches. People tend to be more hospitable and care more about family than diamonds and rims on their cars.

Money is status anywhere you go, true, but I wish there were more values honored instead....

They concentrate on refugees from war-torn areas.
Then they can makes us feel guilty, so they can
get millions to advertise to get more money and make themselves look good.
Did you hear about the wonderful man that ran United
Way years back. Hre was only getting a $1,000,000/yr
salary! They get more than enough to help. But it's
wasted, if in not outright stolen!
Don't stop helping. But find out how your money is being used. You'd be surprised!

They are unbelievably poor relative to other areas of the world.

Poverty rates are based on income v. costs of goods sold, national debt, national output, and cost of living, among other things.

Kabul, Afghanistan has a zoo and a hotel too. Talk about poor.
