Crazy carabid is right, it is mosquitoes, the female Anopheles mosquito to be exact. This is the zoonotic vector for the plasmodium known as Malaria, this infection is responsible for more deaths, than all the major predators on the earth combined. And malaria has killed more people that humans have in all our greatest wars combined.
Humans are probably the most ruthless, and by far the most useless animals on this planet, but we are not the most dangerous!

the answer to this question is quite obvious but i'll explain. Scientifically speaking humans are a part of the animal kingdom therefore are indeed animals. The reason we are the most dangerous animal is because we have the ability to reason whereas no other known animal is able to do so. We also have many resources to destroy our planet whereas, again, no other known animal does. so you see, the answer is clearly humans.

The mosquito ! It carries disease and parasites efficiently and is responsible for more deaths than any other animal (humans excluded). Over 3 million malaria related deaths a year worldwide but mosquitoes transmit a number of other illnesses, such as west Nile virus, arboviral encephalitis (causes brain to swell), dengue fever , yellow fever and many more. There's a reason you should wear bug spray when mosquitoes are out !

Very few animals have ever attacked and killed a human. Leopard seals have (exceedingly rare), bears, jellyfish, stingrays, Bengal tigers, elephants (kill about 500 people a year), venomous snakes (60,000 a year), venomous spiders, killer bees, driver ants, bulldog ants, extremely large constrictor snakes, domestic dogs, crocodiles (100 a year in Africa alone), alligators, lions, hippos, buffalo, sharks, and komodo dragons...I gotta go with saltwater crocodile, final answer....

Crocodiles kill more humans than any other animal. Mainly because people in undeveloped countries have to go into the crocodile's habitat in order to bathe, wash clothing, or get water for cooking.
