It really depends on the demographics.. But bollywood is not even close to Hollywood in the west and it has a long way to go to 'overshadow' it. But yes, it is starting to gain popularity.

umm no way, firstly...just no! so many people dont even know the assosiation between indian culture and the entertainment industry, and hollywood dominating this country's media, bollywood doesnt even stand a chance.
