If God made us all then should he not have also made gay people? It is not someones choice to be Gay so obviously the Lord made us that way. So by condemning the Gay community you are condemning a creation of God. Is that not also seen as a "sin"?

Even if the Bible did condemn homosexuality... I believe God loves all people including gay and lesbian unconditionally..... So have no worry about it.... Bible can say scary things... but God is so full of love, unconditional Love.... to everyone. I believe that, no matter what most people and all holy books may say.
God is truly love... God is NOT Hitler.

Its not sin God didnt create it, when sin entered the world in genesis it created itself along with all the other things the bible speaks against.

its a choice you make in life, we all have choice God gave us that option. But in choice you can say yes or no at any time and i believe this should be based on your for knowledge of what God says about that particular subject. After all he created you so he knows best. If you would like to know the heart of God for you read the bible not discounting or discrediting people in there due to there title but because God inspired the whole bible according to the book of peter, which virtually means he wrote everything using humans as an outlet the same way humans now preach and teach.

Homosexuality is against creation and if you dont beleive that against evolution due to the fact if there were as many gay people as there are hetero people on the planet (although its unlikely) we would be near extinction. So why would a God want us to be nearing extinction by creating the feeling of Homosexuality. Think about it before you get angry and dismiss it.
Evolutions purpose is to adapt to changing environments and climates and survive( survival of the fittest ive heard some scientist say, or dog eat dog) so why would the process of evolution now create a feeling in order for us to stop procreating because no man and man are having no baby! Yes it feels good and satisfying but it dont make it right.

If a gay person tomorrow decides he doesnt want it anymore i beleive he could give it up for good, only dismissing the urge when it comes the same way you dismiss other thoughts that come to mind but if carried out might put you in jail.....anyone disagree.......by the way im no saint but just well informed and TRY and live my life according to the info i have, sometimes successful sometimes not.

bye

Just look what the Bible and religion has done to all of these people! I find it sad and unfortunate. Some of them say that they hate homosexuality and not the person, well since homosexuality is part of that person and they did not choose it, then essentially they are hating that person. The fact is, there is no proof whatsoever that God inspired the Bible. Man decided that homosexuality is wrong, not God. Look to science if you want to know the truth about homosexuality. Despite the fact that scientists have made numerous strides to prove that homosexuality is something people are born with, conservative Christians will still ignore and disbelieve it because it goes against a book that was written over 1000 years ago.

by "condemning" the pedophiles and canibals and polygamists and the incestuous, does that not mean you're also condemning God's creation? what if you're mean-spirited or a miserable person?

it's not exactly their choice to have the desire to live that way either. if you say that pedophiles are "born that way", then just like other psycological conditions the lack of choice can be reconditioned to make it easier to chose a different lifestyle.

so would you then "admit" that you think by hating child abusers (or even loving them, but hating what they do, as is the case with Christians) you are in fact sinning? by your own logic, the same moral standard applies.

to answer your first question, according to the Bible:

Homosexuality
1. Is wicked and sinful (Gen.13:13; 18:20).
2. Is an abomination (Le. 18:22; De. 23:17-18; I Ki. 14:24).
3. Is a capital crime that deserved capital punishment in Old Testament times(Lev. 20:13; Rom. 7:32).
4. Is of the Devil or Satanic (Judg. 19:22 ).
5. Is folly or foolish to get involved in (Judg. 19:23).
6. Is condemned by God (I Ki. 14:24; Col. 3:4-6; II Pe. 2:6; Jude 7).
7. Is to be eliminated by government officials, not tolerated or encouraged (I Ki. 15:11-12; 22:46; II Ki. 23:7).
8. Is common in proud, prosperous, materialistic, self-sufficient societies (Ez. 16:49-50; Ec.10:18).
9. Is characteristic of a society that has rejected or turned its back on God (Rom. 1:24-32).
10. Is characteristic of a society in which the creature is worshipped more than the creator; an
idolatrous, man-centered society instead of God-centered society (Rom. 1:25).
11. Is a sin that keeps people out of heaven (I Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21).
12. Is a sin from which one can be delivered (I Cor. 6:11).
13. Is contrary to sound doctrine (I Ti. 1:9-10).
14. Is just as wicked as witchcraft, hatred, heresy, idolatry, adultery, thievery, covetousness, drunkenness, extortion, murder, prostitution, kidnapping, lying, perjury, sorcery, or any other sin (I Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21; I Ti. 1:9-10; Rev. 22:15).
15. Is fornication (Mt. 15:19; Mk. 7:21; Acts 15:20,29; 21:25; Rom. 1:29; I Cor. 6:9, 13, 18; 7:2; 10:8; II Cor. 12:21; Gal. 5:19; Eph. 5:3; Col. 3:5; I Thes. 4:3; Rev. 2:14, 20-21; 9:21).
16. Is based on a selfish misunderstanding of sex (I Cor. 7:2-5).
17. Can be overcome through salvation and a Biblical marital relationship (I Cor. 7:2-5).
18. Results from man's depravity (Mt. 15:19; Mk. 7:21).
19. Dishonors the human body (I Cor. 6:13 ).
20. Is to be avoided at all costs (I Cor. 5:18; 10:8; Eph. 5:3; II Th. 4:3).
21. Is a work of the flesh (Gal 5:19).
22. Is contrary to God's will (I Th. 4:3).
23. Is unseemly or improper (Rom. 1:27).
24. Is against nature and is vile (Rom. 1:26).
25. Is unclean and dishonorable (Rom. 1:24).

that refference from I Cor. 6:9, as translated dirrectly (i did my research with a Bible containing the original Greek text) reffers to those who "abuse themselves with mankind as women" and those who "abuse themselves with mankind with men", and you'll have to read it, as with every Bible quote, in context.

So then:

While all Christians know that it is a sin to condemn the wicked by abuse of any kind (their own Bible says "vengence is mine says the Lord; I will repay"),

it is *not* a sin to condemn that which the Bible clearly says *is* sin.

Hate the deeds, not the doers.

Okay y'all...understand this: NO man nor NO woman is 100% sin-free, including Jesus (as scripture is written Jesus was tempted and an impure thought is as sinful as an impure act so...)

God made all and throughout time, man has changed things to suit his/her personal views & ideas. Things are twisted to further propel ones own ideaology, and just because several say it this way, doesn't mean that they're right (nor wrong).

One thing is for certain is that LOVE is the driving force of the Bible, love all no matter what (WWJD). It is a sin to hold transgressions against another, it is a sin to judge another, it's a sin to do this, a sin to do that...

...does anyone have concrete irrefutable proof of anything in the Bible?

Leviticus 18:22,
but remember 2 Corinithians 5:17

We are not born gay. We experiment, we react to our expreinces,
Sometimes we are labled as gay by people who don't understand who they are.
Sometimes we are so scared by what was done to us we think we have no choice.
We always have a choice.

As to condemnation "there is now no condemation for those that are in Christ Jesus" Romans 8:1
Those who aren't it's a case of love the sinner hate the sin.

Fornication is not restricted to sexual intercourse but includes a variety of lewd acts, including masturbation.

In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Paul includes fornicators with theives, and drunkards.

Why, the Bible experts here only associate fornication with gay people? You don't drink, you have never masturbate, or you just think that God will overlook your sins because you are "straight"?

It is better to ask "Where did Jesus condemn homosexuality?"

Many will point out Leviticus, but those laws were placed aside when Jesus was crucified (by his own words)

There are a couple of places in the new testament in Romans and I think 1 Timothy but I have issues with both of these due to translations and the person that wrote them.

Edit: To add some clarification to other posts. Paul was formerly Saul who hunted early christians to rid the earth of them. I have serious doubts concerning his motives/mental stability.

For those that refer to Leviticus, if you want to obey one of those laws you had best obey ALL of them. All sin is equal in the eye of the lord.

It's in a particular story about two towns: Soddom and Gomorrah. Supposedly, God hated homosexuality so much he destroyed two cities over it. You can learn more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodom_and_Gomorrah Personally, I feel the same way. God should love all his children; no matter what race, gender, or sexual preference.
