if i was a strong candidate to the UC...?

would they (especially UCLA or CAL) have notified me by now? I heard that some of my friends got accepted into those schools already.

It's not the end of March yet. Don't worry about it.

your friends couldn't have gotten accepted yet.
if they got accepted then it would have been the cal states and early acceptance.
UCs don't send out their decisions until March. Calm down.
