i have been up and down the united states from miami, new york, and beyond, but its like every, every hotel and motel and store i go into is being owned by these indonesians. even got myself in a few spots were i was the only white guy in a black neighborhood for a twenty block radius, were you would think a black man would have owned a store. no indonesians own them to. The average american is lucky if they have a mortgage on one house and making payments on one vehicle. the indonesians not only can come in and get one home but 5, 10 plus, and a hotel, appartment complex ect.. heres a thought, next time you are walking through a mall or driving through a parking lot look to see what the foreign indonesians have then look and see what you have. the average american cant even get a hotel i know i tried in order for me to buy one i had to own twice what the property was worth. i would like to know why this is. i live in florida now and this is a foreign land, puertoricans and indonesians

First of all, quit using such a racist tone or you might have your account yanked.

I think the reason that many immigrants in the US are wealthy is that they represent the best and brightest individuals from their home country. Only the cream of the foreign crop have the ambition and persistance to pick up and move around the globe, so it is not surprising that their hard work leads to success once they get here.

It is interesting, though, how certain ethnicities seem drawn towards certain businesses.

Maybe because instead of whining and complaining and expecting everything to come easy to them, like so many Americans, people who come here from third world countries are used to working hard. If you notice, most immigrant-owned businesses are run by the entire family--- elderly grandparents help, teenagers, even the little kids are there helping out. The entire family sacrifices and works hard together to make the business succeed.
These people who are succeeding are not spending hours and hours in front of a TV or computer, getting welfare or disability checks and food stamps, they aren't running up huge credit card bills for unneeded luxuries and then declaring bankruptcies. They are WORKING, often night and day, and cleaning up after spoiled and demanding Americans.
I personally have all admiration for them. You really don't know what you are talking about if you think that someone (who?) is giving them some kind of special breaks and deals--- handing over the real estate and businesses to them for free.
I've also stayed in many hotels/motels, shopped convenience stores etc....What have I seen? The family members--all of them-- changing the sheets and standing behind the counters and stocking the shelves.
We Americans want to own the place and then have others do all the grunge work. Order others, more lowly, to do the dirty work while we sit behind a big desk on our over-sized butts. How many white Americans feel like they should have to clean bathrooms and launder sheets?
This is not to say there are NO hardworking Americans willing to do menial tasks--- but most of us complain long and loud if that is the only work available to us.
Open your eyes.

Because they as well as other foreigners are smart investors and have found a way to do this. What is funny is that most native born Americans have not had the idea nor the inclination to find out how to do this. It is not rocket science. If you would just put down the bottle of Haterade and do a little research, you too can do the same thing.

It is called international economics. It is a trade off. Our government gives business grants and loans(for a specific type of business) to some foreignors of certain countries and in return that country does favors for us, such as importing x amount of goods from us or whatever the deal is that was cut in Washington D.C. That is why Indians get easy loans to buy hotels and Americans cannot. But in the long run, Americans benefit even if they cannot see it.
