The BUSH government? I have never heard of the country of BUSH!
The IRAQI government tried, convicted, and sentenced Saddam Hussein.
No one has anything to gain or lose with the time table of the execution (well, I guess Saddam Hussein does) it is the law in Iraq that it must be carried out with in 30 days!
Why is it that the under educated want to blame EVERYTHING on a political party they don't agree with. If you think you can do it better RUN FOR OFFICE!

Bush has a choice of either opening a speech acknowledging a new milestone number of American troop deaths, or, claim credit for the Iraqi judges, (who were not yet assassassinated), Iraqi lawyers, (who were not yet assinated), and their relatives, (who are also are not yet assassinated), that "made a historical move for democracy", under his "leadership".
The Iraqi government may be hanging him, but no one in power there even breathes with out an OK from Washington.
Who the heck will be trying to stop chaos when it does actually happen? The Iraqi police? The moment our troops go on full alert, is when the death penalty process will begin.
I find it amazing, that this "right to life" president, will find his political victories in the death of a dictator, and his own countryman's blood on his hands.

Saddam is a war criminal Bush says, wonder what he calls himself. I'm glad you told me he is planning a speech so I can keep my TV turned off at that time. He probably ruin, Bringing the New Year in with one of his boring Iraq speeches, same old 1, 2, 3, 4, thing. I think I heard Iraq say it was none of the United States business when they hang Saddam.

Yes, I think so. Remember, the U.S. military controls Iraq and the "Iraqi government" is basically a puppet regime. Bush got rid of the democratically-elected Prime Minister, al-Jafari, because he didn't like him. So you can assume the government doesn't do anything major unless they clear it with us.
Also remember that Bush keeps Saddam's pistol in his desk drawer and it has been reported that he invaded Iraq because Saddam "tried to kill my daddy".
Like so many things with Bush, Iraq is personal and emotional for him. Not logical and in the best interests of Iraq, the United States, or the world. That is why he is such a bad President and a dangerous man.

searching at a number of the previous solutions jogs my memory that those who shout loudest have the least to assert and the most to hide. The Iraqis that Saddam killed were many times killed with the conivance and appoval of england and u.s., not that Britain has had an self sufficient voice for years, and we killed many with the sanctions we imposed on Iraq, which the politicians knew and probably change into hoping might want to be the case, so that they could portray what were their murderous tyrant as now an self sufficient murderous tyrant. try searching behind the headlines, a number of you.

The President isn't hanging Saddam, the Iraqians are. And he's already given his message to the people of Iraq, he told them they need to get their act togeather.
