This has been a running debate with other NFL fans. What Quarterback had the best arm of all-time - velocity, distance, throwing strength on the run.
I'm convinced its Elway, who in the 1980s would riflle the ball 60 yards on full roll-out sprints with regularity. What a gun. Other popular choices are Favre, Vick, Jeff George, Dan Marino, even Randall Cunningham, Drew Bledsoe, Terry Bradshaw and Boomer Esiason get mentioned.
Who had the greatest gun??

Steve Bartkowski, QB for the Atlanta Falcons in the 70s, was said to have been able to throw the ball from one goal line to the other goal line in the air.

Wow...somehow you've forgotten Doug Williams who toiled through many losing seasons with Tampa Bay before finally leading them to the playoffs and soon afterwards quarterbacking the Washington Redskins to a Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos(1987 I think). Since Williams was always described by the media as "Throwing the ball too hard." while Elway had a "Rocket Arm", I think you can do the math. BTW, the losing QB in that 1987 Super bowl...yup, John Elway.

Dont forget Tom Brady. He has a laser-rocket arm that nobody talks about. However, Mike Vick shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath as the rest of these guys. If I had to pick one arm though, it would be Bret Favre.

Boomer Esiason never had a strong arm.
This is question that can't be answered; no one can say, everyone has their opinion.
That's like saying who's the fastest RB in football.

For all of you youthful whipper snappers; there are 2 gamers that have mythical arm power. Roman Gabriel, who performed for the la Rams in the '60's and '70's. they even have action picture of him throwing a hail marry that flew a entire of seventy 8 yards in the air...this is a fact. the different guy is Jim Plunkett and since the story is going, whilst he replaced into at Stanford (the place he gained the Heisman Trophy), he threw a soccer to one end zone, whilst status in the different, 100yards...it extremely is the story.

As of now i would have to say Vick, but of all time I will go with Warren Moon, one of the best arms ever. Distance and accuracy!

Marino
Super quick release, and could launch a bullet 60 yards or better.
