Yes, i really do... First of all, it´s not our job to judge who lives and who dies..And if I were criminal, i´d rather die and end it all than spend the rest of my life in jail!!! Worse punishment!

Well that is a difficult question to answer because there are several factors that must be considered. My personal opinion is that the punishment must suit the crime.A person who commits a violent, premeditated act must be punished with the death penalty because their crime was commited without conscience. A crime that is committed without conscience is usually indicative of a repeat offence. I am not neccessarily talking about a crime of passion, which is a sudden unplanned act based on a reaction to a traumatic situation and I am not referring to self defence.
Now first of all, it is very easy for everyone to say they disagree with the death penalty, but how would you feel personally if somebody murdered someone you cared about without any regard for the victim or the victim's family?
I am not an overly religious person, however the Bible says do not kill. Now it also says to obey the laws of the land in which you live.If someone has broken that paticular law with regard to murder, how can it be said that we are judging that person when we have no right to?That person committed that crime, and by following the laws (which come straight from the bible) we are only enforcing what has been laid before us already. We are not judging another person based on gender, race etc.We are only punishing that individual based on the act which has already been committed. A fine line I guess.
I realize that many of you are going to think that the executioner is as guilty as the criminal, but I disagree with you on that because he is someone appointed by the court to follow through on the sentence imposed.
I wish that there was no need for capital punishment, but unfortunately some people cannot be rehabilitated. Wouldn't you rather put your tax dollars to work helping those who need it, like hungry children, the homeless etc?Why spend your hard earned money on the Bundy's and the Gacy's, etc? They are people who have lost so much within themselves, that they could care less what you do for them.

no, most men and women that go to prison only get worst. The prison system has nothing to rehabilitate the prisoner. Many companies will not hire people with criminal back grounds, so when they get out they have no legitimate means to support themselves, they end up with the same bad crowd and then back in jail. there have been some cases where they the once prisoner has come back into society and became a wonderful citizen. I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE DEATH PENALTY. I hope that one day they will put a starting over program in place to help the prisoner from the day he/she walk in, to become a productive citizen

to much time and money is wasted on criminals who cannot or don't want to be rehabilitated the death penalty should be used world wide how many rapist, murders, paedophiles have been released just to do it again the criminals have more rights than the victims go back to bread and water take the tv's and radios and all the other perks out of the system and watch the crime rate fall half these guys go to jail because its better there for some people ,that is the real crime.

First of all, it costs far more to execute someone than to keep them alive, due to all of the appeals, so stop griping about cost. I don't think anyone cares about money anyway; it's just an emotional argument.
Having said that, I think that the death sentence is the right thing to do. It can help the family members of the victims make peace, which they may not be able to do otherwise. Secondly, if the chance of being executed deters even one person, it will have been worth it. Saving one innocent life is worth killing every murderer in the world.
