Why do Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts always look so washed-out and tired?

I recently saw My Best Friend's Wedding on tv and they both looked very pretty! I had forgotten they ever looked like that!
It's not just that they are getting older because many, many actresses have gotten older without looking sick and that's how J.R. and C.D. look. It seems like Any Given Sunday was the last time Cameron Diaz didn't have dark circles under her yes and for Julia Roberts it was America's Sweethearts. I remember when Julia Roberts first appears in Ocean's 11 she is supposed to be so gorgeous and I've never seen her look worse in that and Oceans 12. She just has no color to her face at all, surely these films are budgetted for make-up artist!
She was simply radiant in Pretty Woman!

My theory is that they are both under-weight and it doesn't suit them.

You are absolutely right. Everyone is starving themselves because gay (misogynist), designers decided their clothes looked better on skeletons. That's not being catty that's the truth. That's where the starving or herion addicted look first started.

Well, Cameron Diaz has no excuse for looking washed out. But, Julia Roberts does have 2 small children at home, a husband, and a 3rd baby on the way - so I would imagine her schedule is quite full.

Julia has 2 childs at home and 1 on the way. Cameron has Justin Timberlake and she's helping him bring sexy back 2 or 3 times a night I suspect.

ya, Julia Roberts has never looked better than in pretty woman..but come on, what other role can stand up to playing a gorgeous, disease-free hooker that wins a billionares heart?....i think that would make ANY woman glow. haha.
