Here are a few of my favorites:
"Limelight" - Rush
"Pull Me Under" - Dream Theater
"Come Sail Away" - Styx
"Comfortably Numb" - Pink Floyd
"Never Die" - Creed
"Miracles Out Of Nowhere" - Kansas
"The Smile Has Left Your Eyes" - Asia
"Driven" - Rush
"Bullets" - Creed
"Sole Survivor" - Asia
"When The Levee Breaks" - Led Zeppelin
I know, a lot of it is classic rock, but most of these tunes hold up well and are still sounding fresh today. And they will continue to do so long after the "music" of the Britneys and Christinas of the world is forgotten...

Uh I dont know what "running" music is but for alternative get the album "absolution" by muse. but if u want specific songs then:
My chemical romance - welcome to the black parade
The killers - bones
Muse - Hysteria
End of Fashion - She's Love
Red hot chili peppers - desecration smile
um just look on itunes!
also for rock get the album "wolfmother" by wolfmother and the album "IV" by led zeppelin. Oh an Stadium Arcadium by the chili peppers.
And just heaps of muse songs.

A good running song is "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). It may also be on the Sunshine on a Spotless Mind soundtrack.
"Running Down a Dream" by Tom Petty & Heartbreakers

90's power pop is your best bet. Dinosaur Jr., Cracker, Sugar (any Bob Mould), The Gin Blossoms, Smashing Pumpkins, Belly, Breeders, etc. Great beat and up-tempo but without the brain-splitting nature of metal.
For an added bonus, try the Cowboy Mouth version of Springsteen's "Born to Run".

Umm Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, Saving Me by Nickle Back, I write Sins not Tradgedies by Panic At the Disco. I thinks those are the best songs, to me at least to me.

Blink 182 reminds me distinctive Lit. some good Lit songs are "my own Worst Enemy" and "chuffed." different comparable songs? attempt "chum Holly" or "Undone - The Sweater music" from Weezer's 'Blue' album, or maybe Ben Folds "Rockin' the Suburbs" you will in all possibility like a majority of those in case you like Blink 182.
