it sounds like a scam

As I've understand it you only get paid like... 40 to 80 cents or so for a survey. I'm guessing some pay a lot more, but consider the value of your time and the $5, $10, $15 or more fee you pay just to sign in to these surveys.....

it doesn't seem like a good idea.

Yes, you can get paid. A while back I joined a site called Surveyscout.com with the intention of taking surveys for money. Survey Scout is a paid membership site. Anyway, I did make money. Most of what I earned came in the form of $5 and $10 dollar Amazon gift certificates though I did get a few checks in the mail. Don't expect surveys to pay your rent but there is some money to be made there. Over time I made more than the cost of membership but quickly grew tired of sitting around for hours answering questions. So here I am now, doing it for free.

you can probably make money doing, it but its a whole lot more work than it seems like its worth. you can most likely make money doing the surveys and everything but you have to go searching through all the offers and find the ones that work well.

I do Pinecone Research surveys but I don't earn enough to pay for gas. It is random that I get surveys too.
