Um...Canadian is not a race--it's a Nationality.
"Racism" is quickly becoming the most overused word on the planet.

That's a good point.
I wouldn't say that it necessarily is though, because for the average, Caucasian, American to hate a Chinese person could be due to the fact that Chinese people look different and have a very different lifestyle sometimes.
Canadians look mostly the same as us, and I wouldn't say that their lifestyles are very different. Plus, they speak the same language.
The fact that they are from another country is more of prejudice than racism, because we and Canadians are basically the same race.

Well yes, to "hate" someone because of their race difference from you is racism. However, the name Canadian doesn't apply to a race but rather a nationality. Canadians are composed of Eskimos, Caucasians, Orientals, etc. It's best not to fall into the racism gig as it will tear you down.

I've found that most of the American racism towards Canadians is good-natured with no malicious intent. Kind of like when you tell your best friend he's an effing bastard.
I have visted Canada (Vancouver to be precise) and found it to be a lovely country that I would consider migrating to if I had a serious job waiting for me when I got there.

Racism is to hate people who belong to a different racial subspecies for that reason alone.
Nationalism is to hate others for being members of another country.
Jealousy is Americans hating Canadians who live like Americans wish they could. Peacefully

Canadians are so much like Americans that it doesn't make much sense to hate them. It would be like hating yourself. We share so much common history and roots. Including a Chinese influx of immigration in the mid 1800's.

no, racism is based on perceived skin color (ie, race), not nationality.
Ie, racist people who hate black people hate all black people, whether they be from Africa, Brazil or America. Likewise, a person who hates Chinese people, would clearly also hate anyone of Asian descent, regardless of their home country.
To hate a Canadian (although pointless) is nationalistic in origin and has nothing to do with race or racism.

It is racism to hate anyone, for we are all sons of God and in His eyes we are all brothers. The devil wants us to hate one another because that is what causes racism in our world today. This leads to wars and he loves it because he is also a man slayer. Don't fall for his tricks, which he has been using for thousands of years, because of their success with the human race. Learn to love everyone, because there are good people everywhere, just as there are a few bad ones as well. I love people from all over the world, they are my brothers and sisters and I refuse to hate any nationality and let our adversary rejoice over it....KECK

nope
a lot of hate that Chinese people face tends to cross racial lines and not just national lines.
where hating Canadians stays in national lines U.S vs CA, but is hard to cross racial lines giving both countries have similar racial make up.
