That is a tough one.

He is a very evil man, but a show of mercy, might be needed in the middle east.

I say life imprisonment.

i'm getting so weary with all you people who don't have the info and are ranting on and on approximately some thing you're very uninformed approximately. sure, the president became given some incorrect education. Blame that person. We went to conflict because of the fact Hussein became a merciless dictator who had killed hundreds of thousands of his very own human beings. We went to launch Iraq and take Hussein down. And we've completed that. we've confronted impossible odds with Iran feeding the terrorist communities with weapons and adult adult males. there is no longer something to pardon the president for. you would be a patriot in case you supported your united states. because it relatively is, you're a pinhead.

The president of Iraq would not pardon Hussein if he was given all the worlds riches.

He's Shia. Saddam is Sunni.

And besides, he would be afraid saddam would make a coup and try to overthrow him.

Why would he do that? They are politically opposed the president of Iraq is not suicidal. The Bath party is a ruthless terrorist party of their own homeland. It would be very irresponsible for the President of Iraq to even think of pardoning or commuting his sentence.

Pardon as in set him free. OK let's dig a hole in your back yard and let him live there. If he wanted to forestall additional sectarian violence he could commute this sentence, and let the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg, Germany try him for what he did to the Kurd's and Kuwait's. However I don't believe he has that option by Iraqi Law.

He was killed 3 hours ago. He had to have been. A week long muslim holiday starts tommorw in which no prisoners will be executed. A report came out this afternoon that the military had handed him over to Iraqi officals, but they deny it. Both the U.S. and Iraq want this over with sooner than later, so I'm sure he's begun to burn in hell

BREAKING NEWS: He will be executed within 4 hours. Just reported on my local news station 6-10 pm U.S. time is when he will die.

Even if he wanted to he cannot. Also, if he was to do that then America(mainly the government) will see him as a Saddam supporter and evict him out of office like they did Saddam.

After witnessing the heinous crimes against his own people, I would think Saddam's execution should proceed as quickly as possible, in honor of the judges decision. The punishment Saddam is due to receive, is far more merciful than the brutal executions that he ordered against his own people.

Well, no, he shouldn't pardon him. But even if he wanted to pardon him, he'd be left realizing he has not the power to do so
