What are your experiences with the Canadian Welfare System?

I would like to hear people's opinion on the Canadian welfare system and peoples personal experiences with them. IE: How they were treated, does anything need to be changed, etc.

Hey sf49rox,

You do realize that there is no such thing as free healthcare don't you? The Canadian government has no money of its own. It collects taxes from monies that were generated from the work of the people, so it's only free for those who don't pay taxes (those who do not work)
